Volkswagen Scirocco

It is a new model, which has a three-door body with a different design that we have come to expect from Volkswagen, on the other models being sold today. The first deliveries will be in Spain in October 2008.

It is approved for four occupants and equipment stands for having a very abundant relative to its price, good qualities and some dynamic rear seats useful only for people of short stature. Precisely what you are most unlike a Golf, which has much less room behind and worst visibility in almost all directions (is particularly low vision through the rear view mirror inside).

It is on sale from 24,840 € from version 1.4 TSI 160 hp up to 29,790 € of 2.0 TSI 200 hp DSG (all prices). An A3 1.8 TFSI is priced at selling cheaper, but their relationship between price and equipment is less favourable than the Scirocco . A Volvo C30 is clearly more expensive.

With regard to golf, the Scirocco is not expensive and even, in certain circumstances, it is more advisable. Comparing versions of 1.4 TSI 140 and 170 hp Golf GT Sport 3p with the Scirocco 1.4 TSI 160, we can see how-matching equipment-the Scirocco is about 900 € more expensive than the Golf TSI 140 hp and about 500 less than € of the 170 hp .

In addition, the Scirocco has a lower consumption and a performance virtually identical to those in Golf TSI of 170 hp.

Volkswagen Scirocco

The standard equipment is very abundant, though Volkswagen is no longer offered as an option or choice as the panoramic roof (formerly part of equipping series). This does not happen in the engine that has 1.8 TSI for example, the Audi A3. Volkswagen has no thought to add the engine to 1.8 IST Scirocco.

On the road the Scirocco 1.4 TSI 160 hp has an excellent performance. I drive only giving turbo engines and one sixth of relief motion that allows travel fast with little noise.

All engines have supercharged the Scirocco. The gasoline and have turbo compressor (information technology engines 1.4 IST). There are versions available 1.4 l l 1.4 TSI 160 hp (which also bears the Golf Plus and Eos) and a 2.0 l IST 200-hp.

The structure of the suspension is the same as the Golf: the type of front and rear McPherson is a parallelogram with four elements of deformable union, three transverse and one longitudinal. The buffer can have an electronic control system, which Volkswagen calls’ DCC ‘(scheme).
