Audi S3

Audi renews the S3, which is the most powerful version of the A3 model. It’s on sale for 39,100 € bodywork with three doors and bodywork with € 41,350 Sportback.
It’s a high price, but it has qualities that are worth: As a finishing comfort for daily use and their unusual dynamic qualities (both those that relate to their ability to acceleration in straight and curve) are outstanding.
The most interesting of the new S3 is now also available with five doors bodywork ( ‘Sportback’), in addition to the three. Another important change is that the new model has a lower consumption than the previous one and the same level of benefits, which are very high. For equipment, the most interesting thing is that you can now have a variable suspension hardness ( “Magnetic Ride”).

Audi S3 Review

It also has some of the changes similar to the rest of the new range 2008 Audi S3. Thus, the headlights have a different form and include a role in daylight through a strip of diodes (LED ‘image). Pilots have fiber optics to distribute the light (not to know that depending on the lighting) and mirrors, chrome casing, built the lead intermittently.
There is no appreciable difference between the dynamic version bodywork with three gates and ‘Sportback’. In other words, the main criterion for choosing one version or another has to do with how it looks or practicality. The Audi S3 Sportback has a body more comfortable to use than the S3 3-door, more spacious for passengers from the rear seats and more luggage space.

Audi S3 Review

The new Audi S3 maintains the 265 hp engine which was the previous S3. Spend 8.5 litres/100 km (two bodies). The previous model was spending 9.1 litres/100 km. The consumption is lower because the bottom of the bodywork will carenada and because the adjustment of total traction system is different to improve energy efficiency.
Among the cars that have some similar characteristics, not the least consumed, but are distinguished by their performance (comparison chart). So, all those who spend less have only a driving force (S3 has traction to all four wheels), and its benefits are slower, and as BMW 130I, the Opel Astra OPC, the Seat Leon 2.0 TFSI 240 hp and Cupra Volkswagen Golf R32.
So far, we have not measured consumption data in terms of everyday use. In the previous S3 measure consumption relatively high, though not so much if we take into account what it was capable of accelerating.

For a normal Audi S3 , in the S3 body is 25 mm closer to the ground. What’s more surprising is that Audi S3 has done a relatively comfortable car for normal use (it is hard suspension, but not dry), however, by its reactions curve is very interesting for use as sports and for whom enjoyment of driving. That efficiency curve does not have sharp reactions in fact is easier to drive a BMW 130I.
The engine of S3 is excellent. Have the engine in the 2.0 TFSI variant of 265 hp. It is an engine of 2.0 litres of engine capacity, with gasoline direct injection and pressure through a turbocharger. All engines have good charm, atmospheric and turbo. The first-such as the BMW 130I-operation has a delicious, soft and with a response to accelerator that makes it very pleasant to drive. The S3’s response is not so linear, but gives a push medium and excited that regime is much more intense than a BMW 130I.

Audi S3 Review

The seats can be upholstered with fabric, a combination of leather and Alcantara or leather throughout. Alternatively there is some kind Bacquet seats. With them, the subject is very high, but stresses that there are prominent on the sides clearly hinder access, and above all, the exit of the car even agile people.
